City Racing 3D is a free-to-play racing game that lets you cruise through stunning cityscapes. Developed by Feamber, this 3D game is a PC port featuring beautiful graphics, easy car controls, responsive vehicle physics, and various gameplay modes.

Gameplay and Features

Beautiful 3D Graphics and Various Modes

City Racing 3D offers impressive 3D models for cars and maps to explore, similar to its predecessor, City Racing 2. The game features several modes: Classic, Elimination, One-on-One, and Test Drive. The first three modes involve racing against AI and other players, including online multiplayer, while the Test Drive mode is for practice. You can also visit various cities such as Tokyo, Paris, Cairo, and London. Additionally, players can collect different cars with unique builds.

Controls and Gameplay Experience

Despite its appealing graphics, City Racing 3D faces issues with its PC controls. The game uses mobile controls, which do not translate well to a desktop setup. You can only click icons to simulate touchscreen controls or use classic keyboard arrow keys for steering. This lack of optimization makes it challenging to play the game smoothly on a PC.

Offline vs. Online Play

City Racing 3D functions similarly to other racing games. You control a car of your choice and aim to finish in the top position by navigating through tracks as quickly as possible. You can use nitro boosts and drifting techniques to tackle challenging terrains. After each race, you earn stars and points based on your performance.

The game offers four modes: Classic, Elimination, One-on-One, and Test Drive. The first three modes involve racing against AI and other players, providing an online multiplayer experience, while the Test Drive mode is for practice.

Challenges and Performance Issues

For beginners, the game frequently encounters glitches, often returning players to the main menu and failing to retain previous data. Additionally, the controls are not well-suited for desktop play. It continues to use touchscreen and tilt controls, necessitating mouse clicks or arrow key presses for movement. Unfortunately, there are no guides for keyboard controls.

Need for Overhaul

Overall, City Racing 3D is not the best PC port for a racing game. While it maintains the high-quality graphics of the original version, the desktop controls leave much to be desired. Frequent glitches and data resets only add to the frustration, making the mobile version a more enjoyable experience.
